Queens Park Rangers drew 1-1 with 10-man Swansea City at Loftus Road on Thursday, as the Swans equalized late on to nick a point.

QPR went ahead through Leroy Fer’s stunner but were pegged back by substitute Wilfried Bonyin the 90th minute after Wayne Routledge had already been sent off.
With the point QPR remain two points above the relegation zone, while Swansea are three points off the top six.

A controversial moment arrived early on as Wayne Routledge got free and as he pushed the ball around Robert Green the QPR ‘keeper seemed to handle outside the box.
QPR made the most of that mistake, as Fer smashed in a beauty from 20-yards out to put the R’s 1-0 up after 21st minute. QPR were buoyed by the opener as Bobby Zamora headed over and Charlie Austin continued to be a pest in and around the box.

In the second half Austin hit the crossbar with a header as the R’s aimed to double their lead. Swansea went close to equalizing through Gylfi Sigurdssson but his effort beat Green and the post as QPR remained ahead. Routledge drilled a shot just wide of the post and susbtitute Wilfried Bony went close as the Swans pushed hard to equalize.
Late in the match, Swansea threw everything at QPR as Marvin Emnes’ effort was hacked off the line by Richard Dunne. Swansea were then reduced to 10-men as Routledge was sent off for violent conduct but the Welsh outfit hung on and scored through Bony to grab a point.
