Did somebody say reunion?
According to reports from Sky Sports, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to bring Mario Gotze to Anfield this summer.

Gotze made his name under Klopp at Borrusia Dortmund but was sold in the lead up to the 2012-13 UEFA Champions League final as Bayern Munich met his release clause.
However, the German playmaker has spent plenty of time on the bench this season at Bayern, making just eight Bundesliga appearances and scoring once in the league.
Gotze, 23, scored the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final but has fallen out of Pep Guardiola’s plans and with Carlo Ancelotti arriving at Bayern this summer, it is unclear if the diminutive forward features in his plans.

Various reports suggest that Gotze is keen on linking up with Klopp again and he has just one year remaining on his contract which would likely see Bayern willing to accept an offer around the $25 million region.
Klopp gave Gotze his debut at Dortmund at the age of 18 and the talented attacking midfielder 31 goals in 116 appearances for Dortmund before signing for Bayern for $50 million in 2013.
With Klopp using the likes of Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana in a fluid three forward line behind Daniel Sturridge, he seems to be set for attacking midfielders but if Gotze is available for $25 million then a player of his quality must be snapped up.
Daniel Sturridge’s future at Liverpool is rumored to be in question, as is Christian Benteke’s, so perhaps Klopp looking to bring in an attacking player he knows inside out isn’t so much of a shock after all. Gotze would certainly slot into Liverpool’s high-pressing attacking line which sees players rotating in the four forward positions.
