Hull City have no chance at controlling their Premier League destiny after falling 2-0 to Spurs at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Nacer Chadli and Danny Rose scored second-half goals seven minutes apart as Tottenham kept pace with Southampton in the race for fifth.

Hull stays 18th, two points back of Newcastle in the race for safety. The Tigers are home to Manchester United next week, while the Magpies host West Ham.

First Erik Lamela threaded a through ball to Chadli, who right-footed a finish past Steve Harper.

And Ryan Mason found Rose, who red-headed a ball home to increase the advantage.

The match saw only four shots on target, but Hull out attempted Spurs 13-10.
