It wasn’t enough, but it sure was cool.
Thirty-seven year old Mexico striker Maribel Dominguez pulled off one heck of a goal in Monday’s CONCACAF Olympic qualifying match against Costa Rica.

With her back to goal, Dominguez planted her left foot and slammed her right peg in the air for an overhead shot that looped over Costa Rica keeper Dinnia Diaz to bring Mexico within one.
Costa Rica held onto win 2-1 and is onto the semifinals. Mexico is out in the group stage for the first time.
