Revenge would be sweet for West Ham, assuming the Hammers could bury Tottenham and snag the victory on the road.
A season ago, manager Sam Allardyce watched his squad sweep Spurs, defeating them in both league meetings, but in August, Mauricio Pochettino won his first game as boss with a 1-0 conquest of the Hammers.
West Brom recently eliminated Allardyce’s side from FA Cup contention, and the 60-year-old Englishman admitted his team needs to switch gears.

“We’ve lost out little gold touch at the moment,” he said. “We’ve started to struggle to put chances in the back of the net…[and] we were fluent in that area.”
After recognizing the emphasis that fans will place on this game, Allardyce had nothing but praise for Hotspur forward Harry Kane, one of the most lethal goal scorers in Europe currently.
“It’s probably bigger for West Ham supporters than it is for Spurs supporters. It’s a massive game for us.”
