Jose Mourinho loves to live life in the fast lane.

Perhaps a little too much...

It has been announced that the Chelsea manager was banned from driving for six months on Wednesday after he was caught speeding. Mourinho pleaded guilty to the offense which occurred in September 2014 but was not present at the hearing at Staines Magistrates’ Court in the suburbs of London

Mourinho was fined $1,406 and he must now rely on another mode of transport to get to work at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground. Or, most likely, just hire a drive.

After all, he is the “Special One” and is one of the most successful coaches the game has ever seen. Plus, after winning three Premier League titles in five seasons with Chelsea, he can do pretty much whatever he wants in west London. Except drive over the speed limit, of course.

Expect plenty of snarky quips about Mourinho “not being able to park the bus like he does with his Chelsea team on a Saturday” and such after this ban. Trust me, people are all over it on Twitter.

Legendary England striker Gary Lineker, who contributes to NBC Sports’ coverage of the Premier League, had the following to say about Mourinho’s driving ban.
