DeShields

DeShields went undrafted after spending four years at Pittsburgh and one year with Texas A&M. The Colts brought him in for training camp, but he didn’t do enough to crack the opening 53-man roster. We’ll see if DeShields catches on with another team or if the Colts try to bring him back on the practice squad.

DeShields (6'2/215) is Pittsburgh’s fifth commitment in the 2020 class. The question for Pitt’s newest commit is what position will he play in college, as he’s been a standout at both wide receiver and linebacker at Millville HS in Millville, NJ. If DeShields plays linebacker at the next level he would be the Panthers’ second in this recruiting class, joining fellow three-star prospect Bangally Kamara. Pitt has yet to receive a verbal commitment from a wide receiver in this recruiting cycle.
