Ravens signed RB Stephen Houston to a reserve/future contract.
Houston has bounced around as a 2014 undrafted free agent out of Indiana, but he is notable due to 88th-percentile SPARQ athleticism at 5-foot-10 and 225 pounds. His athleticism is likely the main reason Houston keeps popping up on practice squads and future signings lists. Beyond Kenneth Dixon, the Ravens’ backfield is far from settled as it pertains to the 2017 season.

    Ravens waived RB Stephen Houston.
A measurables star out of Indiana, Houston has bounced around the league since going undrafted in 2014. He may resurface as a camp body elsewhere. Baltimore also waived DE Omarius Bryant and QB Zach Terrell.

The Boston Globe’s Ben Volin wouldn’t be surprised if either Jonas Gray or UDFA Stephen Houston made the Patriots’ roster and played the “LeGarrette Blount role.”
Gray (5-foot-10, 225) signed a futures deal in January after spending all of last season on the Ravens’ practice squad. He was initially signed as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame by the Dolphins in 2012. Gray is a one-cut power back. Stevan Ridley should get the first crack at big-back duties.

Patriots UDFA RB Stephen Houston fumbled in the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s preseason opener, and didn’t play another snap.
It’s probably a decisive blow to Houston’s roster chances, as he was already behind Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen, James White, and Brandon Bolden. Houston had a freakish Pro Day before May’s draft -- 11-foot broad jump, 40-inch vertical, 4.52 forty at 5-foot-10, 225 -- but he hasn’t generated buzz in camp.

    Patriots waived RB Stephen Houston.
A fumble in New England’s preseason opener sealed his fate. Houston does figure to get another look based on his measurables at 5'10/225 with 4.52 jets.

    Steelers signed RB Stephen Houston.
Cut by the Patriots on Sunday, Houston gets scooped up quickly. It’s not a surprise as the UDFA out of Indiana showed truly unique athleticism at his Pro Day. In Pittsburgh, the depth chart is open behind Le’Veon Bell, LeGarrette Blount and Dri Archer.
