Flanders

Flanders (5-foot-8 5/8, 207) left Sam Houston State as the Southland Conference’s all-time leader in rushing yards (5,664) and touchdowns (66). Although he ran 4.75 in Indy and was underutilized in the passing game in college, Flanders improved to 4.56 at the Bearkats’ Pro Day and reminds of Rams feature back Zac Stacy on tape with a bowling-ballish build and ability to beat first contact. A gifted enough runner to make an NFL roster, Flanders is worth monitoring in fantasy circles despite his low profile, though he will find playing time hard to come by early in his career. The New Orleans’ backfield is as muddy as any in the league.

Flanders spent 2014 out of football after going undrafted out of Sam Houston State. A Zac Stacy-like, bowling-ball runner, Flanders was a favorite super-deep sleeper of Rookie Scouting Portfolio’s Matt Waldman last offseason.

Flanders and Hamm were both well-regarded undrafted rookies, but didn’t shine once the pads came on. Palmer appeared in one game for the Jaguars in 2013. He could have trouble finding work as a camp body at this stage of the game.
