Giants re-signed CB Tony Lippett to a one-year contract.
The ex-Dolphins starter has made just three regular season appearances since the end of the 2016 season. He missed 2017 with a torn Achilles’ tendon. Lippett turns 27 in July.

    Giants signed CB Tony Lippett.
A fifth-round pick in 2015, Lippett had a promising start to his career and started 13 games in 2016, but he missed all of last season with an Achilles’ tear. He struggled to recover from the injury this offseason and was waived by the Dolphins at final cuts. He is apparently healthy now, however, and the Giants need help at corner after trading Eli Apple.

Dolphins CB Tony Lippett has been losing first-team reps to Chimdi Chekwa.
Yikes. The Dolphins have been talking up Lippett all offseason but now he’s losing snaps to a player who could barely get on the field for the rebuilding Raiders the past four years. The Dolphins’ cornerback corps is a major problem. It will be an outright calamity if Byron Maxwell doesn’t improve on his 2015 with the Eagles.

Dolphins sophomore CB Tony Lippett will be given a “fair shot” to win a starting job.
A fifth-round pick last year, Lippett is competing with second-rounder Xavien Howard for the starting spot opposite Byron Maxwell. If Lippett wins the job, it will say more about Howard’s development than Lippett’s ability. The Dolphins could still use some help in the secondary.

Dolphins coach Adam Gase hints Tony Lippett is in the lead to start opposite Byron Maxwell at cornerback.
“Tony has been starting the entire time anyway,” Gase said. “Tony is just going to keep working at that spot right now.” Lippett has an opening with second-rounder Xavien Howard recovering from a knee scope. Lippett might be in the lead for Week 1, but would still have to hold off Howard in the regular season.

Dolphins coach Adam Gase said sophomore CB Tony Lippett has done a “great job” during OTAs.
Lippett is competing with second-rounder Xavien Howard for the starting spot opposite Byron Maxwell. Howard would seem like the favorite for the job, but Lippett has earned steady praise so far this offseason. This will be a battle to watch during camp.

Dolphins coach Adam Gase said Friday that CB Tony Lippett will retain his starting job.
Lippett got manhandled by A.J. Green on Thursday night, but his predecessor Byron Maxwell got manhandled the week before by Terrelle Pryor. The Dolphins have the NFL’s worst cornerback group and offenses will continue to attack it.

Dolphins CB Tony Lippett is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return to Sunday’s Week 13 game against the Ravens.
Lippett suffered the injury while trying to wrap up Steve Smith Sr. in the second quarter. He logged two tackles before exiting. Bobby McCain replaced Lippett at cornerback. It’s been a rough day for the Dolphins’ defense so far after losing both Lippett and linebacker Kiko Alonso to injuries.

Dolphins CB Tony Lippett returned to Sunday’s Week 13 game against the Ravens after passing the concussion protocol.
He missed a handful of snaps in the second quarter after trying to wrestle down Steve Smith Sr. Bobby McClain filled in while Lippett was getting checked for a concussion.

Dolphins CB Tony Lippett is done for the year with an Achilles’ tear.
Lippett suffered the injury in training camp practice. A 13-game starter last year, Lippett was likely ticketed for a reserve job this season, but it is still a blow to Miami’s depth. Lippett should be ready to go by the start of camp next year.
