    Bears waived CB Tre Roberson.
Roberson was the top CFL prospect this offseason, but he’ll have to find another team just weeks before training camp practices are set to begin. Roberson needs to show special teams talent to crack an active roster.

    Bears signed CB Tre Roberson.
Roberson is considered to be the top NFL prospect to come out of the CFL this season. The converted quarterback from Illinois turned down nine other NFL offers to sign with Chicago, who reportedly gave Roberson the largest CFL-to-NFL compensation since Miami signed Cameron Wake. Expect Roberson to compete for an end of the roster job this offseason.

Patriots worked out free agent CB Tre Robertson.
Roberson initially signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2016 but leaped to the Canadian Football League to join the Calgary Stampeders after getting waived prior to the regular season. A converted quarterback out of Illinois, the 27-year-old is obviously just hoping for a shot to prove himself in offseason activities.
