Colts waived/released RB Trey Williams, TE Konrad Reuland, WR Daniel Anthrop, and DT Keith Lumpkin.
Signed off the Dolphins’ practice squad last December, Williams is a lightning quick scat back who has yet to find a home in the NFL. Only 23, he should latch on to at least a practice squad this season. The Colts have two more cuts to make before tomorrow’s deadline.

Redskins signed Texas A&M RB Trey Williams.
Williams was scheduled to try out at the Texans’ minicamp, but the Skins signed him first. A favorite of RSP’s Matt Waldman, Williams is smallish (5'8/195) but offers sneaky big-play ability as a 4.49 speedster. He could push old-regime holdover Chris Thompson off Washington’s roster with a good camp.

ESPN Redskins reporter John Keim said GM Scot McCloughan “really likes” rookie RB Trey Williams.
Williams is currently fourth on the depth chart, but he could certainly jump perennially injured and disappointing Chris Thompson for a change of pace role. Williams put on a show in the second preseason game, rushing 10 times for 52 yards and showing impressive foot quickness.
  • FA Running Back
Redskins signed RB Trey Williams to the practice squad.
An undrafted rookie out of Texas A&M, Williams flashed quick feet and breakaway speed in the preseason. If the oft-injured Chris Thompson goes down again, Williams could contribute in a change-of-pace role.
  • FA Running Back
    Redskins waived RB Trey Williams.
An undrafted rookie out of Texas A&M, Williams was pushing Chris Thompson for No. 3 duties, but ultimately couldn’t make the leap. He should be stashed on the practice squad.

The Texans will give Texas A&M RB Trey Williams a tryout at their upcoming minicamp.
Williams (5'8/195) spent three seasons in College Station, finishing his career with 1,343 yards and 18 TDs on 204 carries (6.58 YPC), adding 38 receptions. He returned kickoffs for the Aggies and had a 75-yard return against Alabama in 2014. Williams ran 4.49 in Indy, also shining in the three-cone drill and short shuttle. An elusive scatback with all-purpose tools, Williams can cut on a dime and make an impact on special teams.

Patriots claimed RB Trey Williams off waivers from the Cowboys.
The Pats are extremely thin behind LeGarrette Blount, but Williams is unlikely to be active in Week 13. He’ll be a distant No. 4 behind Blount, Brandon Bolden and James White.

    Patriots waived RB Trey Williams.
Williams was claimed off waivers from Dallas on December 1. He didn’t appear in any games. He’ll try to latch on elsewhere.
  • FA Running Back
    Cowboys waived RB Trey Williams.
Williams generated some buzz during his three-week stay on Dallas’ roster as a potential Lance Dunbar replacement, but he never saw the field. The Cowboys will move forward with Robert Turbin behind Darren McFadden.

Colts signed RB Trey Williams off the Dolphins’ practice squad.
Williams (5'8/195) ran 4.49 at the Combine and has a multiple skill set with special teams and receiving value. A 23-year-old undrafted rookie, Williams takes the roster spot of Zurlon Tipton behind Frank Gore and Boom Herron.
