Rockies signed OF Tyler Hill to a minor league contract.

Hill spent the 2021 and 2019 seasons with the Winnipeg Goldeyes of the independent American Association. The 25-year-old outfielder was a 19th round selection of the Red Sox back in 2014 and also spent time in the Tigers and Yankees systems the last few years.

The Tigers had picked Hill in the minor league portion of Thursday’s Rule 5 Draft. He hit .254/.348/.312 with one home run and 27 stolen bases in 124 games this past season at the High-A level.
