Tyson Etienne led the Nets with 20 points (6-of-16 FGs), one rebound, four assists, two steals and two three-pointers in a 136-101 loss to the Raptors on Sunday.
After scoring a career-high 23 points in Friday’s loss, Etienne was able to stay hot in this game with the second 20-point game of his career. He’s still on a two-way contract, but he closed this season out on a high note and could end up signing a new contract with the Nets this offseason.
  • BKN Guard #10
Tyson Etienne finished Friday’s loss to the Bucks with 23 points (6-of-12 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), four rebounds, two assists and six three-pointers.
Not only did Etienne finish Friday’s loss with a career-high point total, but this was his first 20-point game as a pro. The Nets’ guard has reached double figures in consecutive games four times in his two-year NBA career, with three of those streaks occurring this season. Etienne should continue to play rotation minutes in Sunday’s season finale against the Raptors, as the Nets are shorthanded on the perimeter.

Tyson Etienne produced 14 points (5-of-17 FGs, 1-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, four assists and three three-pointers in the loss to the Pacers on Thursday.
Etienne struggled from the field on Thursday in his 39 minutes on the floor. He was particularly cold inside the arc, with his efficient three-point shooting being the positive on the evening. Etienne did, however, make contributions on the glass and as a facilitator to help make up for the inefficient scoring. He’ll have a chance to bounce back on Friday against the Bucks.
  • BKN Guard #10
Ben Saraf, Tyson Etienne, Malachi Smith, E.J. Liddell and Trevon Scott will start Thursday’s game against the Pacers.
The Nets have made one change to the lineup that started Tuesday’s win over the Bucks, with Etienne replacing Drake Powell. Powell is available and should play rotation minutes off the bench.
  • BKN Guard #10
Tyson Etienne recorded 18 points (6-of-10 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), one rebound, three assists, one steal and four three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Trail Blazers.
Etienne has reached double figures in four of his last five appearances. In Monday’s blowout defeat, he established a new career-high with 18 points, shooting 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. While the recent production has been nice, there’s no reason to consider adding Etienne in any fantasy leagues. The Nets play three more games in Week 22, so there should be a few more opportunities for Etienne to play extended minutes.
  • BKN Forward #1
Ziaire Wiliams (hand) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Knicks.
Williams is dealing with a sore left hand. If he can’t play on Friday, Malachi Smith and Tyson Etienne may pick up additional minutes off the bench, but neither player is worth streaming.
  • BKN Guard #77
Ben Saraf (calf) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Despite backing up Nolan Traoré, Saraf played 31 minutes off the bench in Saturday’s loss to the 76ers. If Saraf doesn’t play on Monday, the Nets can play Traoré for more than the 17 minutes he logged on Saturday, with Tyson Etienne possibly getting some backup point guard reps.
  • BKN Small Forward #8
Ziaire Williams (knee) and Reece Beekman (calf) have been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Knicks.
Jalen Wilson will likely notch another start with Williams out of commission. Tyson Etienne is the prime candidate to fill in as the Nets’ starting point guard.
  • BKN Point Guard #1
D’Angelo Russell (ankle) has been ruled out against the Knicks on Sunday.
Russell will miss a fifth-straight game to close out the season for Brooklyn. Reece Beekman (calf) and Tyson Etienne are both candidates to play significant roles for the shorthanded Nets.
  • BKN Small Forward #8
Ziaire Williams (knee) and Reece Beekman (calf) are questionable to play against the Knicks on Sunday.
Williams missed Friday’s game against Minnesota, which allowed Jalen Wilson to start. He should remain in that role if Williams remains out. Beekman has been starting at point guard and should continue to do so if he plays. If he’s unavailable, Tyson Etienne is a candidate to move into the starting unit.
