Will Harris will be out 3-4 weeks after undergoing surgery last Thursday to remove scar tissue.
Harris, who was experiencing lingering neck issues earlier this spring, will open the regular season on the injured list after undergoing the cleanup procedure to remove scar tissue from last year’s surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome. The 37-year-old veteran right-hander won’t be cleared to resume throwing until late April, at the earliest. It’s a significant loss for the Nationals’ bullpen.
