Pullin

For the second consecutive game, Pullin provided efficient offensive production from the point guard position. This offseason is key for the 6-foot-4 guard, who is looking to lock down a concrete role for himself in Minnesota. Given the Timberwolves’ depth at point guard, that may be challenging. However, Pullin can certainly make the decision a difficult one for head coach Chris Finch and the rest of the coaching staff. Playing as well as Pullin has in Las Vegas certainly helps his case.

Pullin is still on a two-way deal with Minnesota, but this was an impressive showing for the 25-year-old. He’s only appeared in eight NBA games, and he’ll likely spend most of next season in the G League, but there is clearly some talent here. If he continues to develop, he could become a rotation player in the near future.

Pullin has been waived after spending last season with the Grizzlies on a two-way deal. The former Florida guard appeared in three games as a rookie, failing to record any stats beyond a missed field goal in a February 12 loss to the Clippers. Pullin’s release coincides with the Grizzlies signing center PJ Hall to a two-way contract.

Pullin spent last season on a two-way deal with Memphis, which is why he is suiting up for them in Summer League. He played well on Monday, but he wasn’t able to control the ball. The last of his six turnovers came with about seven seconds left in the game, which led to the loss. The dimes were encouraging, but even if he continues to play well, he’ll likely be on a two-way deal once again.

Pullin has played a grand total of three minutes across three appearances so far this season. The two-way guard will remain out for another game, but it won’t impact the team’s rotation.

Both two-way guards will be sidelined against Oklahoma City on Wednesday, though neither has been a consistent part of the Grizzlies’ rotation this season. Their absences won’t open up minutes for any other player, since they don’t have minutes to give away.

Pullin, who signed a two-way contract in mid-January, has appeared in three games this season. When he is healthy, he won’t be in the rotation.

Signed to a two-way contract immediately after the conclusion of last month’s draft, Pullin averaged 5.3 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 11.9 minutes during Miami’s run to the NBA 2K25 Summer League title. Pullin was waived due to the Heat’s need to free up a two-way contract for Josh Christopher, MVP of the championship game.

Pullin spent four productive seasons at UC Riverside before transferring to Florida. The fifth-year senior averaged 15.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 0.9 steals, 1.1 triples and just 1.3 turnovers. He shot 44.9% from beyond the arc and nailed 84.7% of his 5.8 free throw attempts. Pullin was named to the All-SEC team thanks to his strong numbers. The 6-foot-4 guard is an excellent playmaker who doesn’t turn the ball over much. He’s got the size to be a quality defender, but fantasy managers should not expect Pullin to have much of an impact as a rookie.
