The Thunder waived Adam Mokoka on Saturday.
They likely only signed him to be able to add him to their G-League roster. This won’t impact fantasy hoops.

Adam Mokoka has signed a contract with the Thunder.
This is likely a training camp deal, and we’d expect Mokoka to wind up in the G League.

  • NBA Point Guard #31
Tomas Satoransky, Adam Mokoka, Devon Dotson, Garrett Temple (self-isolation), Denzel Valentine (hamstring) and Thaddeus Young (leg) will not travel to Oklahoma City for Wednesday and Friday’s preseason games.
Valentine and Young are dealing with actual injuries, while Temple is simply completing the COVID-protocols and Satoransky, Mokoka and Dotson are away from the team at the moment. We wouldn’t recommend targeting any of these guys in standard leagues.

Adam Mokoka will return to the Bulls on a two-way contract.
He had some nice flashes to end last season but will spend most of 2020-21 developing in the G League. Last year he made 11 appearances with the Bulls, but averaged just 10.2 minutes per game.

Adam Mokoka scored eight points with one rebound, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 16 minutes against the Knicks on Saturday.
He’s been in the rotation in the last three games and he should continue to earn more playing time with so many of the bench veteran Bulls wings not making a case for minutes. Mokoka would obviously need an injury to become a fantasy factor in even most deep leagues, but he’s played well when called upon. Just keep an eye on Mokoka for now.

Adam Mokoka went on a garbage time run for the ages on Thursday, making 6-of-6 from the field for 15 points in just five minutes against the Pelicans.
According to Elias Sports Bureau, no player had scored 15 or more points in as little time as Mokoka’s 5:07 since the start of the shot-clock era in 1954-55. His Wikipedia page currently has a Michael Jordan reference on it, and he was getting MVP chants. Great story aside, Mokoka may not be in the rotation again for the next one.
