Simpson and Ford joined the team on Exhibit 10 contracts, which grants the Magic the G League rights to both. Simpson had his moments down the stretch last season as a member of the Thunder, but that wasn’t enough to stick with Oklahoma City. The 6-foot-8 Ford appeared in five games for the Magic last season. Jay Scrubb and Alex Morales filled the roster spots left vacant by these transactions.

Ford and Zavier Simpson were added to the roster ahead of training camp to meet the maximum number of players at 20. We wouldn’t expect Ford to make the final 15-man roster, let alone become fantasy viable this season.
