Blake, 23, is a reserve free safety and special teams player.

Perennially one of the NFL’s most-burnt corners, Blake keeps getting chances for reasons unbeknownst. Ideally for the G-Men, he won’t make the final 53.

It’s not that big of a deal, as police say Blake was stumbling around outside some bars, so they took him in and let him sober up before releasing him. The 24-year-old had a couple too many. Blake made one start last season, but was a big part of the Steelers’ horrid pass defense. He’s more of a No. 4 or 5 corner.

Blake was tendered at the lowest possible level. He appeared in all 16 games (one start) last year, finishing with 42 tackles and an interception. Blake should return no higher than Pittsburgh’s No. 4 corner.

Blake was awful last year, finishing with PFF’s second-lowest cornerback grade behind the equally disastrous Brandon Browner. The 25-year-old is best viewed as a backup despite starting 18 games for Pittsburgh in 2015.

“I think he’s primarily an outside corner,” Robinson said. “He’s tough, he’s physical, he’s fast. He will be an impact player for us, we think, in the kicking game. And then compete for an outside spot.” Perrish Cox was solid last year, but the Titans are obviously looking for an upgrade opposite Jason McCourty. One of the worst corners in the league last season, Blake is not that upgrade. He should settle into a reserve role.

He spent Monday with the Titans and is set to visit the Patriots on Tuesday. Should he get out of New England without a deal, Blake will head to Detroit. Blake was a big part of the Steelers’ dreadful pass defense last season.

A 2012 undrafted free agent, Blake struggled mightily as a first-time starter last season. The Titans are unsettled opposite Jason McCourty, but Blake is probably being signed as a reserve.

Blake is currently in a cast, but will likely shed it in a matter of weeks. The 25-year-old Steelers castoff will compete for a starting job opposite Jason McCourty.
