The latest chapter in the Ben Simmons-Philadelphia 76ers drama takes place tonight when Simmons and his new team, the Brooklyn Nets, take on the Sixers. While Simmons will not be playing tonight, it has been reported that he will be on the Nets’ bench. It’s safe to say that emotions will most certainly be high when these Eastern Conference foes meet.
These teams have met three times this season with Brooklyn winning two of the three. On one hand, the Nets will have Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the court tonight while Philadelphia comes into the game fully healthy.

The Sixers are rolling right now; the addition of James Harden seems to be working perfectly. As such, the Sixers have exploded offensively, winning of eight of their last 10 games. Brooklyn, meanwhile, has won four games in their last 21. With Durant back on the court, the Nets have to push their season into high-gear and getting a win tonight would be a step in the right direction.
The Sixers have not been good against the spread as a home team this season: Philadelphia is 19-13 on the Money Line at home and have won five of their last six home games. However, they are only 13-19 ATS at home this season.
I think tonight’s game will be a one-possession game won by the home team.
