Brett Anderson allowed one hit with no walks and no strikeouts over one scoreless inning against the Dodgers on Sunday.
Anderson got the start for the Brewers for what might have been his last appearance for Milwaukee. He allowed one hit over one inning on just eight pitches. In typical Anderson fashion, he generated a groundout before giving up a single and inducing a ground ball double play. The 33-year-old left-hander ends the season with a 4.22 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 58 strikeouts over 96 innings.

Milwaukee wound up falling 4-3 in the matinee game at Busch Stadium, with the official loss going to reliever Miguel Sanchez. Brett Anderson allowed six runs -- two earned -- over 1 2/3 innings to take the loss on Wednesday as the Brewers fell to the Cardinals.
Anderson was only charged with two of the six runs due to a fielding error by Eduardo Escobar in the second inning, but the veteran certainly earned the loss in this contest. The Brewers southpaw generated a 20 percent CSW overall and a 13 percent mark on his changeup. Anderson falls to 4-9 this season with a 4.30 ERA and 1.39 WHIP over 90 frames and will take on the Cardinals once more next week.

Anderson got struck on the shoulder by a hard line drive in the second inning of his start Wednesday night against the Giants and did not return for the third inning. He’ll miss at least one turn in the Brewers’ rotation, leaving behind a 4.18 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and 56/26 K/BB ratio in 88 1/3 innings (21 starts) this season.

Brett Anderson was removed from his start on Wednesday against the Giants due to a left shoulder contusion.
Anderson was struck by a 103 mph line drive on his left shoulder in the second inning and still managed to complete the frame. However, he didn’t come back out for the ensuing frame. It doesn’t seem like a serious concern, but that remains to be seen. The 33-year-old righty has been snake-bitten by persistent physical issues this season.
