Ole Miss redshirt senior DE Charles Wiley entered the transfer portal.
Wiley would be immediately eligible to play for another program if he does transfer. The defensive end appeared in 12 games for the Rebels last season, and added three sacks with 5.5 total tackles for loss. The 6-foot-2, 244-pound defender can play both inside and outside, and would be a welcome addition for another FBS program.

Ole Miss freshman DE Charles Wiley was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.
Wiley was arrested and taken to the Lafayette County Jail on Monday night. The exact circumstance that led to the 6-foot-3, 235-pounder’s arrest are not yet known. Ole Miss HC Hugh Freeze said in a statement, “Charles is being withheld from all team activities while the process moves forward. We take incidents like this very seriously and will make decisions once the course of action is complete.” Wiley was a four-star recruit for the 2016 cycle and stood as ESPN 300’s No. 252 prospect in that class.

Ole Miss freshman DE Charles Wiley’s charge of misdemeanor domestic violence has been dismissed.
Per Steve Farese, Wiley’s attorney, “The parties mutually agreed to dismiss the charges and handle this matter privately.” The defensive lineman was initially arrested near the end of July. The Clarion-Ledger’s Antonio Morales is reporting that the 6-foot-3, 235-pound freshman will be eligible to play moving forward. ESPN 300 ranked Wiley as the No. 252 overall prospect for the 2016 cycle.

Ole Miss signed four-star DE Charles Wiley.
Wiley’s a native of Stockbridge, Georgia, but he opted to spurn his home state Bulldogs for HC Hugh Freeze’s squad. The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder checks into the ESPN 300 at No. 252. According to the outlet, he’s not a “prospect [who] will just wow you in any one way, but can be a good all-around football player.” They don’t necessarily see him as an instant impact freshman, but believe he could develop into a productive player down the road with the Rebs.
