Corbin Kaufusi, a 6-foot-10 BYU basketball player, joined the football team.
Kaufusi, the brother of Bronson Kaufusi, signed with the Cougars a few years back as a 6-foot-8 offensive lineman. He left for a Mormon mission and ended up growing two inches on his sabbatical. When he returned to school, Corbin Kaufusi joined the basketball team. Now, he wants to play his original love. “It’s always been a dream of mine to play football at BYU,” Kaufusi said in a statement. “I’m really excited about what is happening with football. I’m looking forward to being coached by my dad and learning from him and my teammates. I’m grateful for the support of the basketball coaches as I pursue this opportunity.” Kaufusi will join BYU’s defensive line, which is trying to replace older brother Bronson.
