Kansas junior TE Mason Fairchild (lower body) is not in uniform for Saturday’s game against TCU.
Fairchild (6'5/25) was injured during last weekend’s wild 57-56 overtime win at Texas, with walk-on (and hero) Jared Casey filling the void. Look for Casey to see more time Saturday afternoon as the Jayhawks look to win a second consecutive game.

  • Tight End #82
Kansas junior TE Mason Fairchild (lower body) suffered an apparent lower-body injury in Saturday’s 57-56 overtime win at Kansas.
Prior to departing, Fairchild (6'5/250) had two receptions for 31 yards and his first collegiate touchdown. He was replaced late in the game by FB Jared Casey, who ended up hauling in the game-winning two-point conversion in overtime to stun the Longhorns at the DKR. The source and severity of Fairchild’s injury isn’t known, nor is his status for next Saturday’s trip to TCU. But whatever is ailing him probably feels a little better after the stunning upset win.

    James Sosinski
    KU #82
Kansas redshirt senior TE James Sosinski has been ruled out for Saturday’s game vs. Iowa State due to an undisclosed injury.
The Jayhawks will be without their two of their top three tight ends for Saturday’s game, as in addition to Sosinski (6'7/250) fellow senior Jack Luavasa has also been ruled out. Sophomore Mason Fairchild ascended into the starting spot in place of Luavasa for the matchup with the Cyclones.
