Kansas junior TE Mason Fairchild (lower body) suffered an apparent lower-body injury in Saturday’s 57-56 overtime win at Kansas.
Prior to departing, Fairchild (6'5/250) had two receptions for 31 yards and his first collegiate touchdown. He was replaced late in the game by FB Jared Casey, who ended up hauling in the game-winning two-point conversion in overtime to stun the Longhorns at the DKR. The source and severity of Fairchild’s injury isn’t known, nor is his status for next Saturday’s trip to TCU. But whatever is ailing him probably feels a little better after the stunning upset win.
