Bielema crashing Harbaugh’s spring break? Yes, please

Yeah, this could get good.

As you may have heard by now, Jim Harbaugh has ruffled the feathers of commissioners and head coaches (but not all of them) throughout the SEC and ACC because of his decision to take his Michigan football team on the road to Florida for a portion of spring practice. Those practice sessions opened earlier this week at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, and spring workouts are generally closed to the public.

One exception to that no-visitor policy is tomorrow, and Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema may take advantage of the open practice on tap for the Wolverines.

After early meetings & lift tomorrow with our players. Thinking about heading to watch an open practice tomorrow at IMG with the staff. #WPS

Two lightning rods for controversy and/or drama in the same general vicinity. What could possibly happen?

The Wolverines and Razorbacks, incidentally, begin a home-and-home series in 2018 with a September date in the Big House.

Stay tuned. And grab your popcorn, just in case.

UPDATED 4:33 p.m. ET: And now the head coach of Michigan’s in-state rival Michigan State is getting in on the Twitter fun. Could UM’s spring break practice morph into a coaches convention? Here’s to hoping.
