Injury Ends UCLA QB’s Career

According to the Los Angeles Daily News, quarterback Osaar Rasshan is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder, a procedure that will put an end to his collegiate career.Rasshan is taking a medical retirement due to the injury, which will free up his scholarship to be used on another player.The senior-to-be started three games in his Bruins career, becoming the first African-American QB to start for UCLA in 28 years. For his career, Rasshan was 17-of-45 for 249 yards, zero touchdown passes and two interceptions.As far as his future goes, The Daily News reports that Rasshan is expected to remain with the program in an undetermined role.
