It’s not entirely football related, but seeing how it’s “one of those days”, the following news has made its way to the rumor mill frontburner. And, considering the name, it would have been rather big if true.

It didn’t take long for Emmert to respond to the supposed “report.” Speaking to ESPN.com’s Joe Schad, Emmert said rumors of his resignation are “complete nonsense."
That said, it wouldn’t have been surprising in the least if Emmert stepped down, despite the fact that the NCAA’s Executive Committee approved an extension for Emmert through 2017 at the beginning of this year. Leading an entity that has come under extreme public criticism in recent years has to be an overwhelming and largely thankless job.
