Earlier today, a USC Trojan and his drunk-driving charge set the “Days Without An Arrest” ticker back to double zeroes after a record 21 consecutive days. Less than 24 hours later, a player on the other side of the country has stepped across the legal line as well.
According to WAVE-TV, Louisville defensive back Terrence Ross was arrested early Sunday morning on a trio of charges including one felony. Specifically, those charges were assault of a police or probation officer (the felony), disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.
No details of what led to the arrest and charges were made available. This was actually Ross’ second arrest in a span of two months, with the first coming in November on a criminal mischief charge stemming from an incident in March.
This latest incident triggered an indefinite suspension for the redshirt freshman, with the UofL saying in a statement that “the matter will continue to be evaluated.”
Ross played in three games in 2014. He took a redshirt his true freshman season a year ago after tearing an ACL during summer camp.
