Let’s take a break from arrests, “major college programs committing major violations”, Twitter-based uncertainty and unscrupulous “radio hosts” and dig into some good old-fashioned vandalism, shall we?
According to a report by SMU’s student newspaper, the Daily Mustang, Gerald J. Ford Stadium was hit by vandals armed with spray paint and poor penmanship at some point late last month. Interestingly, the words “TCU” and “TCU Frogs” were the graffiti of choice for whomever decided to deface the home of the football Mustangs.
Additionally, the letters “C.J. & T.M” were spray painted -- in orange -- in the stadium’s breezeway. All of the graffiti occurred in that area, and were painted on doors, an ice machine and the pavement inside the stadium.
“The vandalism is under investigation and we are getting people to come clean it up soon,” Andrew Ward, the assistant director of Facilities and Operations, told the paper.
A school spokesperson also told the paper that there are cameras outside the stadium, but they did not capture the individual or individuals responsible for the damage.
