Though Texas A&M is breaking in a new coach in Kevin Sumlin, the Aggies don’t appear to be having any problem on the recruiting trail.
Four-star receiver (according to Rivals) Thomas Johnson decided to sign with A&M today over interest from Oregon, Cal and TCU. Johnson’s signature no doubt relieves some of the angst the Aggies felt earlier this morning when four-star reciever (247Sports) Braton Addison (Missouri City, TX) decided to sign with Oregon instead of the Aggies.
Johnson is listed as the No. 34 overall recruit by Rivals and No. 44 overall recruit by 247Sports.
So far, though, A&M is pulling in a solid class with running back Trey Williams, cornerback DeVante Harris and quarterback Matt Davis.
Davis made some signing day headlines of his own when he blasted Texas from his Twitter account.
