Tylor Megill will likely have his next start pushed back to Monday’s series opener against the Brewers.
No official decision has been made, but the Mets appear poised to go with righty Corey Oswalt for the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader against the Yankees, a seven-inning contest, and bump Megill back for Monday’s nine-inning affair against the Brewers. The 25-year-old righty has held his own in a pair of starts against an extremely talented Braves’ lineup, allowing just five runs on eight hits with a 12/4 K/BB ratio across 9 1/3 innings since being promoted from Triple-A Syracuse on June 23.
