Corey Oswalt has elected free agency.
The 29-year-old hurler didn’t pitch in the big leagues during the 2022 campaign, instead he registered a miserable 6.57 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 40/19 K/BB ratio over 50 2/3 innings at Triple-A between three different organizations (Giants, Phillies and Rockies). He’ll look to latch on elsewhere on a minor league pact this winter.

Rockies acquired RHP Corey Oswalt from the Phillies for cash.
Oswalt was acquired by the Phillies from the Giants in a small trade back in May. He’ll head to Colorado to bolster their organizational pitching depth. The 28-year-old right-hander hasn’t appeared in a major league game this season and has surrendered 24 runs across 35 1/3 innings in the minors.

Phillies acquired RHP Corey Oswalt from the Giants for cash considerations.
Oswalt, who signed a minor league contract with the Giants earlier this year, will provide the Phillies with some extra organizational pitching depth this season. The 28-year-old righty made three appearances (one start) last year with the Mets. He’s compiled a bloated 8.53 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 17/5 K/BB ratio across six appearances (one start) at the Triple-A level this season.

Giants signed RHP Corey Oswalt to a minor league contract.
Oswalt decided not to accept an assignment to Triple-A by the Mets after he was outrighted there shortly after being designated for assignment and unclaimed. He dealt with knee inflammation that limited his time on the mound, but was relatively effective with a 3.48 ERA in his 10 1/3 frames. He could compete for one of the final spots in the Giants bullpen, but San Francisco will have to add him to the 40-man roster in order to carry him.

Corey Oswalt has elected free agency.
Oswalt has refused an outright assignment to Triple-A Syracuse and will test the free agent waters instead. The 28-year-old right-hander tossed 10 1/3 innings for the Mets this season, while carrying a solid 3.48 ERA and 1.35 WHIP. He missed most of the season with right knee inflammation and will now look to sign with another team this offseason.

Mets transferred RHP Corey Oswalt to the 60-day injured list.
The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster. Oswalt now won’t be eligible to return from his knee injury until September.

Corey Oswalt pitched decently in a losing effort against the Yankees on Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits over his four innings of work.
The right-hander struck out four and walked one on the evening. All of the damage done against him came on a three-run homer off the bat of Gio Urshela in the third inning -- an opposite-field shot that would have remained in the ballpark in most venues around the league. Oswalt now boasts a 3.48 ERA and 1.36 WHIP over 10 1/3 innings on the season.

Mets placed RHP Corey Oswalt on the 10-day injured list with right knee inflammation.
Oswalt suffered the injury during Sunday’s start against the Yankees. It’s unclear at this stage how long he’ll be sidelined for. Robert Stock was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move and is likely to start for the Mets on Wednesday.

Tylor Megill will likely have his next start pushed back to Monday’s series opener against the Brewers.
No official decision has been made, but the Mets appear poised to go with righty Corey Oswalt for the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader against the Yankees, a seven-inning contest, and bump Megill back for Monday’s nine-inning affair against the Brewers. The 25-year-old righty has held his own in a pair of starts against an extremely talented Braves’ lineup, allowing just five runs on eight hits with a 12/4 K/BB ratio across 9 1/3 innings since being promoted from Triple-A Syracuse on June 23.

Mets selected the contract of RHP Corey Oswalt from Triple-A Syracuse.
The right-hander will act as pitching depth for the Mets as they navigate another storm of injuries. Oswalt carries a career 6.19 ERA at the major league level with a 1.42 WHIP over 84 1/3 innings and has allowed six runs on 12 hits over 13 frames this season for Triple-A Syracuse.
