Marshall RB Darius Marshall managed forty times of just 4.68 and 4.70 at his Pro Day last week.
Like his predecessor for the Thundering Herd -- Ahmad Bradshaw -- Marshall carries character red flags and a history of ankle problems. His forties and short shuttle time (4.34) weren’t impressive, though NFL.com’s Gil Brandt says Marshall looked “great” in position drills. He’s a late-round prospect.

Marshall RB Darius Marshall announced Monday that he’ll forgo his senior year and enter the 2010 NFL Draft.
In addition to the Thundering Herd’s featured runner, Marshall was the team’s kick returner in all three of his seasons. Ahmad Bradshaw’s successor, the 5'10/190-pound back averaged 5.0 YPC en route to 1,131 yards and 11 TDs as a junior. Marshall was rarely used as a pass catcher, however, and will be a developmental pick. He is unlikely to be drafted on the first day.

Marshall RB Darius Marshall reportedly failed a drug test at the Combine.
The item is buried at the end of a Boston Herald blog post, but we hadn’t heard this before. Marshall has yet to latch on with an NFL team after declaring for the draft early. The failed test probably took him off most draft boards, and forty times in the 4.7 range at his Pro Day don’t help either.
