Darrell Ceciliani had an RBI triple and a grand slam in leading the Blue Jays past the Phillies 7-5 on Friday.
Ceciliani was the Jays’ star of camp last year, hitting .417 with four homers, but the team sent him down at the end of the spring anyway. He’s resigned to a similar fate this year. He’s one of those guys who would have a much better chance at steady work if teams still carried 14 position players.
