The Grizzlies have waived Shaquille Harrison, Adonis Arms, and David Johnson.
With these moves, the Grizzlies have finalized their Opening Night roster. Harrison was the most experienced of the trio as far as NBA action was concerned, but there wasn’t room on the roster despite Memphis not having Ja Morant for the first 25 games of the regular season. The exits of Harrison, Arms, and Johnson will not impact fantasy basketball.
  • Shooting Guard #99
David Johnson (left knee swelling) will not play in Friday’s game against the Magic.
He’s played less than two minutes all season, and it’s not just because of injuries.

  • Shooting Guard #99
David Johnson (left knee swelling) is listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Magic.
Even if he’s active, Johnson likely won’t play many minutes, if any. This won’t make an impact in fantasy basketball.

  • Shooting Guard #99
David Johnson has returned to action for the Raptors’ G League affiliate, the 905.
Johnson is back from health and safety protocols, and on Wednesday he scored 11 points in 20 minutes while navigating foul trouble in a road win vs. the Greensboro Swarm (Charlotte’s affiliate). Even if he’s called up from the G League, it’s hard to see him having any fantasy impact.

  • Shooting Guard #99
David Johnson (health and safety protocols) will not play in Tuesday’s game against Charlotte.
Johnson is schedule to clear quarantine on the 26th, so this is not a surprise. Johnson is not a fantasy target either way, so this won’t affect anyone’s roster.

  • Shooting Guard #99
David Johnson has entered the league’s health and safety protocols and won’t play Friday against the Wizards on Friday.
The second round pick has only played two minutes this season. This won’t have an impact in fantasy hoops this year.

  • Shooting Guard #99
David Johnson (calf) will not play on Tuesday vs. the Spurs.
Even if he were active, it’s unlikely he’d actually touch the court.

  • Shooting Guard #99
David Johnson (left calf strain) has been ruled out of Sunday’s matchup with the Knicks.
Johnson has logged just two total minutes for Toronto this season. There’s no fantasy impact here.

  • Shooting Guard #99
David Johnson (left calf strain) will not suit up for Tuesday’s game vs. the 76ers.
He would have the opportunity for minutes with so many guys in Toronto still in quarantine, but instead, he will be watching from the sidelines tomorrow night.

  • Shooting Guard #99
David Johnson (left calf strain) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Under normal circumstances Johnson’s availability would not have an impact on the Raptors rotation. However, the team has been hit hard by illness with 10 players having entered the league’s health and safety protocols. When Johnson will be cleared to play remains to be seen. But by the time that happens, the Raptors will (hopefully) have most of their rotation guards back in the fold.
