According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Grizzlies have signed Shaquille Harrison and Jaylen Nowell to 10-day contracts.
The Grizzlies have been hit hard by injuries this season, and that doesn’t even take into consideration Ja Morant’s 25-game suspension. So the NBA awarded the franchise two 10-day contract hardship waivers, which they have used on Harrison and Nowell. Neither is a must-add in most leagues right now, but Harrison is the one to keep an eye on due to his defensive potential.

The Grizzlies have waived Shaquille Harrison, Adonis Arms, and David Johnson.
With these moves, the Grizzlies have finalized their Opening Night roster. Harrison was the most experienced of the trio as far as NBA action was concerned, but there wasn’t room on the roster despite Memphis not having Ja Morant for the first 25 games of the regular season. The exits of Harrison, Arms, and Johnson will not impact fantasy basketball.

The Grizzlies announced on Thursday that they have signed Shaquille Harrison.
With the Grizzlies already having 17 players on guaranteed contracts for the 2023-24 campaign (teams are only allowed 15 once the regular season begins), it’s likely that Harrison is joining the team on an Exhibit 10 contract. A six-year veteran of the NBA, the former Tulsa standout has suited up for six different franchises. Harrison appeared in five games for the Blazers last season, averaging 8.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 2.2 steals in 24.0 minutes. Even with Ja Morant suspended for the first 25 games of the season, Harrison faces a difficult fight to make the Grizzlies’ opening night roster. His status will not impact fantasy basketball.

According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, the Lakers are signing Shaquille Harrison.
McMenamin’s signing comes one day after his 10-day contract with Portland expired. While much won’t be expected of him offensively, he can give the Lakers a needed boost on the perimeter from a defensive standpoint. Given the timing, it’s obvious this transaction won’t impact fantasy basketball.

Shaedon Sharpe (left knee tendinopathy) has been ruled out for Thursday’s matchup with the Spurs, while Drew Eubanks (left thoracic spasm) and Kevin Knox (left knee soreness) have been cleared to play.
Eubanks and Knox will be available, but that doesn’t mean Portland isn’t going to continue to be the hardest tanking team in the league. Their lottery pick from this past draft was playing to well, and they couldn’t take any chances against the tanking Spurs. Shaquille Harrison makes the most sense to slide into the starting unit as a guard, but everyone that is available for the Blazers should play a large role.

  • LAL Small Forward #5
Cam Reddish (lumbar soreness) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Spurs.
Reddish has missed Portland’s last four games with the lumbar issue, and he was initially questionable for the last two. His continued absence would mean more minutes for Jeenathan Williams and Shaquille Harrison, with the latter being a decent deep-league option despite coming off the bench.

  • LAL Small Forward #5
Cam Reddish will sit Sunday against Minnesota due to lumbar soreness.
Reddish will miss a third straight game as Portland continues to circle the drain heading into the final week of the NBA season. Guys like Kevin Knox and Shaq Harrison are likely to absorb most of Reddish’s minutes.

  • LAL Small Forward #5
Cam Reddish is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Timberwolves due to lumbar soreness.
Reddish did not play in Friday’s loss to the Kings, the second consecutive game in which he did not see action. Shaquille Harrison played 24 minutes off the bench and could be in line for a similar workload, but he is not worth streaming.

The Grizzlies are planning to sign guard Shaquille Harrison to a 10-day hardship contract on Wednesday, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
In 10 games with the Delaware Blue Coats of the G-League, Harrison posted impressive averages of 19.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.9 steals per game. He’s being brought onto the team with Desmond Bane, Kyle Anderson and Tyus Jones all in protocols, and while he’s a tenacious defensive player, he likely won’t carve out enough of a role to be worth a roster spot on your team.

Shaquille Harrison is reportedly set to sign a 10-day contract with the Nets.
Typically, 10-day contract signees wouldn’t get out attention, but with Brooklyn desperate for bodies, Harrison is worth monitoring in deep leagues. If he’s able to see meaningful minutes in the rotation, he could emerge with some value as a steals specialist, but this is a wait-and-see situation in the vast majority of leagues.
