Cowboys agreed to terms with OGs Daniel Loper and Derrick Dockery.
Both journeyman were on Dallas’ roster last year. The Cowboys won’t want either to see action this season, but they were needed depth signings after several interior linemen went down in camp. Also, C Phil Costa has struggled.

According to FOX Sports’ John Czarnecki, Cowboys LG Bill Nagy (doubtful) has been ruled out for Week 2 with a neck injury.
A seventh-round rookie, Nagy drew the start in Week 1 against the Jets and graded out as ProFootballFocus’ worst run-blocking guard. Derrick Dockery will enter the starting lineup in Nagy’s place, and will likely hold down the job for the foreseeable future. He’ll almost certainly be an upgrade over the overmatched rookie.

Cowboys LG Derrick Dockery will not play this week after sustaining an MCL sprain in his knee as well as a fractured tibia.
Rookie Bill Nagy, who had been banged up going into Week 2, will likely start against the Redskins Monday night. The rookie was a liability against the Jets in the season opener.

Cowboys LG Derrick Dockery (knee) will miss at least another three weeks, a source tells ESPN Dallas.
Dockery has an MCL sprain in addition to a tibial plateau fracture. Backup Bill Nagy is going to need plenty of help against Ndamukong Suh on Sunday.

Derrick Dockery got first-team reps at left guard ahead of Bill Nagy in Cowboys practice Wednesday.
Nagy struggled against the Jets last Sunday night, getting pushed back into the backfield repeatedly. It shouldn’t be a surprise as Nagy is a seventh-round rookie. If the veteran Dockery can get up to speed by the end of this week, he’s a decent bet to start and help the Cowboys’ run game.

The Cowboys are not expected to retain free agent OG Derrick Dockery for 2013.
ESPN Dallas expects the team to rely on “younger linemen” going forward. Dockery was signed in 2012 training camp as an injury replacement and appeared in 15 games, making two spot starts. At 32, he is nearing the end of the line.

Redskins G Derrick Dockery signed a qualifying offer with the team.
The Redskins can match any offer he signs as a restricted free agent, but he’s very likely to stay.
  • FA Guard #76
    Redskins re-signed G Derrick Dockery to a one-year contract.
The restricted free agent’s return ensures that the entire starting offensive line will return for the Redskins in 2006.

The Ravens worked out free agent OG Derrick Dockery on Saturday.
Free agent G/T Jason Murphy, a fringe player, was also at the workout. Dockery is still just 29 years old, but received no interest in free agency after his March release from the Redskins. He was a power-blocking guard in his prime, which suits the Ravens’ mentality. Dockery could be an option at right guard in Baltimore if Marshal Yanda kicks back to right tackle.

    Bills released LG Derrick Dockery.
The team just signed him to a "$49 million deal” two offseasons ago, but that just points out how meaningless initial contract numbers like that are. We believe Dockery made less than $20 million on the deal. Buffalo takes a $5.4M cap hit, but is likely more concerned with the $26.25 million in cash savings. The left side of the Bills’ line was a serious liability in 2008, and the Bills will go cheap at guard. Dockery and Brandon Moore’s additions immediately improve a previously thin guard market. Neither will have any difficulty finding work.
