Ravens signed Virginia Tech DT Derrick Hopkins.
Hopkins (6-foot, 309) made 40 starts for the Hokies, ringing up 26 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, and three forced fumbles. He was a second-team All-ACC pick by the conference’s coaches as a senior. Hopkins ran a 5.06 forty with an 8-foot-5 broad jump and did 25 bench-press reps at Virginia Tech’s Pro Day. An undersized gap shooter without elite pass-rushing tools, Hopkins projects as a workmanlike rotational tackle if he makes the Ravens.
