Jaguars promoted OG Drew Nowak from the practice squad.
Nowak is a second-year undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan. He’s never appeared in an NFL game. He’ll provide depth along the Jags’ banged-up interior line for the final two games of the season.
  • Seahawks waived C Drew Nowak, RB Cameron Marshall, TE Ronnie Shields, DE Josh Shirley and WR Tyler Slavin.
The moves make room for Seattle’s undrafted free agent class. Nowak started the first eight games last season at center, but he ended up losing his job to Patrick Lewis. He will be a roster long shot wherever he lands.
  • Seahawks C/G Drew Nowak has been splitting first-team center reps with Lemuel Jeanpierre.
Nowak is a fourth-year UDFA who spent all of last season on Seattle’s practice squad. He’s appeared in just two career games. The Seahawks are rotating up to six players between left guard and center, trying to find replacements for James Carpenter and Max Unger. OL coach Tom Cable is a maximizer of talent.
  • Seahawks waived C Drew Nowak.
Nowak started seven of the Seahawks’ first eight games at the pivot, but was benched after the Week 9 bye. He obviously struggled mightily before heading to the pine. Patrick Lewis has taken over, but hasn’t been much of an upgrade.
  • C Drew Nowak exited the Seahawks’ Week 8 game against the Cowboys with an ankle injury and is questionable to return.
He left early in the second quarter. Lemuel Jeanpierre will fill in at center.
