    Phillies released RHP Drew Storen.
Storen was pitching pretty well this spring before everything got shut down, but a lot of non-roster invitees are going to be released with clubs having to finalize their 60-man player pools on Sunday afternoon. The veteran reliever hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2017.

Drew Storen retired all three batters he faced Tuesday against the Pirates.
Storen struggled mightily in his return from Tommy John surgery last year and was released after just nine appearances for the Royals’ Double-A team. He’ll definitely have to go down and prove himself to get another shot, but the Phillies will have openings if he can show glimpses of his old self.

Drew Storen will be a few days late to Phillies’ camp for family reasons.
Storen will be in Phils’ camp as a non-roster invitee. He scuffled in his return from Tommy John surgery last season and hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2017, so he’s going to need a big spring to crack the Opening Day bullpen.

Phillies signed RHP Drew Storen to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Storen will earn $750,000 if he’s on the major league roster. The 32-year-old struggled with a 7.84 ERA in nine appearances with the Royals’ Double-A affiliate last year in his return from Tommy John surgery. He hasn’t pitched in a major league game since way back in 2017, but there’s no harm in bringing him to camp to see what he has to offer.

    Royals released RHP Drew Storen.
Storen was working his way back from Tommy John surgery, but he struggled with a 7.84 ERA in nine games with Double-A Northwest Arkansas. A former first-round pick by the Nationals who spent time as a closer with Washington, Storen is now 31 years old -- 32 in August -- and hasn’t appeared in a major league game since 2017.

Drew Storen (elbow) has been assigned to Double-A Northwest Arkansas.
Storen has been in extended spring training to build up arm strength as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery, which he had back in September of 2017. He’s now 31 and hasn’t had much success in the majors since 2015.

Royals reassigned RHP Drew Storen, LHP Richard Lovelady, RHP Zach Lovvorn, C Xavier Fernandez, INF Jecksson Flores, INF Nicky Lopez, OF Elier Hernandez, and OF Bubba Starling to minor league camp.
Storen signed a minor league contract with Kansas City in mid-February and went on to post a 15.43 ERA over four appearances in the Cactus League. The 31-year-old right-hander missed the entire 2018 season following Tommy John surgery and will try to continue regaining strength with the Royals’ Triple-A affiliate in Omaha.

Royals’ general manager Dayton Moore said Friday that Drew Storen (elbow) will not have any limitations during spring training.
Storen is fully recovered after undergoing Tommy John surgery 14 months ago. Moore fully expects him to compete for a role in the Royals’ Opening Day bullpen. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that he could work his way into a high-leverage role in the bullpen with a strong showing in the spring. Only Wily Peralta and Brad Boxberger could stand between him and save chances.

Royals signed RHP Drew Storen to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Storen missed all of last season following Tommy John surgery and posted a 4.45 ERA with 48 strikeouts over 54 2/3 innings in 2017. The former closer is now 31 and is merely a flier at this point.

Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Cubs are among several teams who have scouted reliever Drew Storen.
The Cubs scouted Storen two weeks ago, though it’s unclear if they walked away interested in pursuing a contract. At this point he’ll likely have to settle for a minor league deal. Storen, 31, missed all of last season following Tommy John surgery and posted a 4.45 ERA with 48 strikeouts over 54 2/3 innings with the Reds in 2017.
