Corbin Carroll doubled, tripled and drove in four runs to help the Diamondbacks to a 9-5 win over the Twins on Friday.
Carroll needed “just” a homer for the cycle, as he also singled with a walk for good measure. The 25-year-old already has nine three-baggers on the season, and a 20-triple campaign can’t be ruled out; it’s right around what he’s on pace for. The double was his 16th, and the four runs driven in bring his total to 42. He’s having a good year, is what we’re saying.
