Jeremy Peña was removed from Monday’s game against the Blue Jays with a right hamstring cramp.
Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters afterwards that Peña left Monday’s contest during the middle of a sixth-inning at-bat due to a hamstring issue. He’ll presumably continue undergoing further evaluation and possibly imaging to determine the severity of the issue. The 28-year-old shortstop finished 1-for-2 with a run scored and two stolen bases. He’s presumably day-to-day heading into the final two games of the series in Toronto.
