X-rays on the injured hand of Astros’ shortstop Jeremy Peña came back negative for any fractures on Thursday.
Astros’ fans and fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief. Peña was hit on the knuckles of both his pinkie and ring finger on his left hand with a 96-mph fastball from Gerrit Cole. While he’s dealing with a bit of swelling and soreness, he shouldn’t require any sort of extended absence from the lineup. He’s considered day-to-day.
