Parker Messick allowed two runs in 7 2/3 innings and took the loss against the White Sox on Tuesday.
Messick gave up three hits, walked one and struck out 10. He fell to 7-4 with the loss. Messick was excellent against the White Sox on Tuesday. A Randal Grichuk double and Colson Montgomery single led to a run in the fourth inning and Miguel Vargas hit a solo home run in the sixth inning, but otherwise Messick kept Chicago off the scoreboard. He has a 2.67 ERA and 3.29 xFIP. Messick is lined up to face the Rangers at home next week.
