Jack Flaherty allowed three runs in four innings and got a no-decision in the Tigers’ 8-6 victory over the Cubs on Monday.
Flaherty gave up four hits, walked two and struck out four. All three runs Flaherty allowed came in the third inning when he allowed a two-run home run to Seiya Suzuki and a solo home run to Michael Busch. The 30-year-old right-hander had previously allowed two runs in 16 2/3 innings over his last three starts. Flaherty has a 4.59 ERA. He’s lined up to face the Royals at home this weekend.
