Colt Emerson delivered a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to deliver a 7-6 win over the Twins on Sunday.
The Mariners nearly gave the game away in the late innings, but the rookie came up clutch with the first walk-off hit of his career. The stage was set after Josh Naylor led off the bottom of the ninth with a single off Yoendrys Gomez. While Cal Raleigh struck out for the first out of the frame, Victor Robles followed with a single before Emerson punched a single to left to end it. The 21-year-old went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored on the afternoon, giving him just his second multi-hit game since July 4.
