Riley Greene was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Guardians with right hamstring tightness.
Not great. The widely-held assumption was that Greene was lifted for precautionary reasons after being hit by a pitch earlier in the contest. It sounds like he may have tweaked his hamstring while scoring on Spencer Torkelson’s second-inning double. The 25-year-old fantasy stalwart will undergo further evaluation, and possibly imaging, to determine the severity of the issue. There should be a definitive update on his status leading into the final two games of the series.
