Dane Myers slugged a game-tying solo homer in the ninth inning, propelling the Reds to an eventual 6-5 walk-off victory over the Cardinals in the second game of Monday’s doubleheader.
Cincinnati was down to their final out when Myers came off the bench to take Cardinals reliever Peter Strzelecki deep for an equalizing homer. The 30-year-old went deep in both games of Monday’s twin bill with his heroics in the nightcap setting up teammate Elly De La Cruz’s walk-off single in the 10th inning.
