Jared Young went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBI to lead the Mets to a 6-2 win over the Astros on Saturday.
Young put the Mets on the board with a base hit in the first inning to drive in a run. With two runners on in the fifth, he’d drive them both in with a triple to right field to plate three of the team’s six runs. Young later led off the eighth with a single and scored. The 31-year-old first baseman is hitting .272/.332/.447 with eight homers, 33 runs scored, and 35 RBI across 283 plate appearances.
