Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a homer, double and four RBI on Sunday, propelling the Reds to a 12-8 victory over the visiting Brewers in Cincinnati.
The 24-year-old superstar tagged Brewers’ left-hander Kyle Harrison for a 402-foot (105.5-mph EV) two-run blast that extended the Reds’ lead to 6-3. He then added a two-run double in the fifth that gave them an 8-6 lead that they would never relinquish. For the season, he’s now slashing an impressive .280/.360/.492 with 23 homers, 66 RBI and 24 stolen bases in 556 plate appearances.
