Early scattered one hit and needed just 34 pitches (21 strikes) to complete three frames in his Nationals debut. The -year-old’s velocity was right in line with his pre-injury levels as he averaged 93.8 mph on his four-seam fastball. It was an extremely encouraging display after missing nearly three months with elbow inflammation. The positive news for fantasy managers is that he’ll have a healthy offseason and figures to be locked into a spot in Washington’s rotation entering next season.

Soto was drilled on the right hand by a 91.7 mph sinker in the ninth inning. He’ll presumably head for X-rays to determine whether he suffered any fractures. Jung will miss the remainder of the season, including next week’s potential AL Wild Card Series matchup, after suffering a fractured right hand when he was hit by a pitch on Friday. The 28-year-old third baseman missed time due to a calf injury in the second half, but still managed to finish hitting .295/.365/.462 with 54 runs scored, 12 homers, 42 RBI and one steal in 444 plate appearances over 104 games.

Collyer will remain on standby in case the Rangers manage to win the AL West division title and make it to the postseason. He’s posted a lackluster 5.40 ERA across 25 innings of work this season in middle relief duty.

Lugo will occupy a spot on Kansas City’s bench for their final two regular-season contests. He hit .143 (2-for-14) during a nine-game stint with the club earlier this season.

Loftin will miss Kansas City’s final two games of the season while on paternity leave. The 28-year-old finishes with a .240/.322/.388 slash line with 42 runs scored, a career-high eight homers, 45 RBI and four steals in 426 plate appearances over 118 games.

Lonsway returns to San Francisco’s bullpen for their final two games of the season. The 27-year-old lefty allowed three runs over two innings against the Diamondbacks in his major-league debut last month.
